When I lived in Ocala this was one of my favorite places!
The food is just as good as I remembered, and fresh!
The service was amazing from the moment I walked in!
There were several people waiting, but it only took 15 minutes for a table of 6!
If you want delicious food, make the trip!!
Our server Jaime was top notch and wonderful to talk to!

This is still a favorite locally owned gem of a restaurant! I recommend stearing away from the standard Mexican fare and try the specialties like Pescada (Grouper)A La Rusa, Chicken Marsala, Anything with Chimichurri sauce and the Tres Leche is top notch!

Amazing food especially the seafood stew blew my mind away!!! Fried pork skin was also my fav and it came in generous portion for an appetizer. We also ordered a shrimp quesadilla which was also super delicious but it was already too much food for two (quite hungry) people. This restaurant is only 20min away from the silver springs and I’d recommend it to anyone who passes by the area!!

We were on our way to a different Mexican restaurant on the same road when we saw a packed parking lot. That’s usually a very good sign, so we re-routed to check out this place.
Large restaurant, ample parking, bar was active and bartenders appear experienced and friendly, as are most of the staff. Hostess was amicable and sat us in about 15 minutes.
Angel was our server. Great effort. Kitchen didn’t help though. First we ordered our appetizer of guacamole and chips. Guac came shortly after drinks, yet we had to wait for what seemed to be 8-10 minutes for the chips and salsa ?? At all Mexican restaurants we have visited, the chips and salsa are on the table right after you sit down 🤷🏻♀️.
Thought it was a small hiccup, yet same thing happened when the entrees came. The simple sides of French fries and yuca fries didn’t come until we almost finished our meal. It was a problem because one of the children was waiting for the fries to have her dinner. Disappointing.
The food that was served was in fact delicious and authentic. We all enjoyed it. Suggest better synchronization of timing with food orders and arrival at the tables.

YUM! Recommended by a friend, I had the pork tacos and sangria for lunch and it was positively delightful! Perfectly made sangria with just the right amount of alcohol/wine and fruit! Tacos were delicious, you can never go wrong with pork. Rice and beans were exactly what I was craving, tasted just like home! (California🙃)
