So, about this place. I’m not thrilled but I think they can do better. The place was not busy at all however it was a Tuesday around 2:30 in the afternoon. The food could use more love from the chef. I ordered the Birria tacos. The braised beef was good but could have had more flavor. The consommé was very bland, in that I had to season it myself with more salt. Chips were nice and warm but the salsa. Bland. Also ordered the Mexican corn for an appetizer. Yeah, let’s not ruin elotes. I would go back but it would not be my first or second choice. 3.7 for a score. Drink was good though. (Moscow mule)

Where to start?
The service was very poor as we waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the table (there was only one other patron eating at the time) & I had to go to the bar & ask the bartender if anyone was working the dining room.
Once ‘Brenda’ brought us water and about 5-10 later took our order…we got the complimentary chips & salsa AFTER I asked for it.
To her credit, at one point Brenda brought a carafe of iced tea as she had seen I was running low.
As to the food…the chimichanga was very disappointing as it was mainly filled with LOTS of yellow rice, a few slices of onion, red, yellow & green bell peppers and minimal pulled chicken breast…which was not seasoned at all. Truly the only flavor came from the red ranchero sauce & queso on top of it.
My wife’s ground beef enchiladas were flavored mainly by the ranchero sauce & cheese on top as the ground beef also had no seasoning!
All in all there is no reason we could find to give anything a positive rating!

Kinda classy & kinda laid back vibe all in one.
Delicious food. We had the Taco Salad and for my drink, I got the Ranch Water and it was very refreshing!
Our server was a bit inattentive that evening.

The restaurant is very dark inside. We had to eat upstairs, and the black-painted steps and garland on rails made it difficult to hold onto the rail, so walking down we used one of the table lamps to light our way down. The restaurant is not very ADA compliant. Had to change one of our orders since they did not have any plablonos. Overall, the waitress was awesome and very attentive, food was great tasting, and so much, and great margaritas, which was $8 for 6 oz. Rate it 4 🌟 $$ for food, $$$ for cocktails. Again, the waitress made it a great birthday evening.

Beautiful restaurant, had high hopes. Enjoyed my margarita and the tequila selection was very impressive. Service was kind and attentive. Food was awful. I ordered the Puntas de Filete and it was pure gristle and chewy meat. Maybe it was an off day but it was genuinely terrible.
