Hands down the best barbecue I’ve ever had. The only thing better than your food is your employees. Every employee was welcoming and kind. I even witnessed the tall young man behind the counter carry an old ladies food out to her car for her. Between the excellent food and the great service I’ll definitely be a return customer.

Passing through and stopped here for some good BBQ. We had the family meal so it provided a bit of all the good stuff (fall off the bone ribs, tasty brisket, delish sausage, sweet coleslaw, bland Mac&Cheese) and worth the value. Sweet tea was good. There were no real mouthwatering shoutouts just good Q. I wouldn’t drive the 1.5hrs from my home to this spot but it was a worth the short detour for lunch.

well i had very high expectations for Big Lees and the food side didn't disappoint. Some of the Best Brisket i have had in a long time. The things that need to worked on like cleanliness of restaurant trash was over flowing. soda and tea machines were all not working at the time i went to get our drinks. Someone told the staff and they eventually got out to fill the sweet tea, and get the soda machine up and running.
When we got there the line was out the door amd down the sidewalk!.I double checked with the wife and she said well we had been wanting to try them and dont get down to Ocala very often so we opted to wait in line, eventually it was our turn i had the wife sit at an open table as the seating is extremely and i mean extremely limited. ppl were staging to get seats when ppl eventually got up after eating , I ordered our food ,at the time of ordering they bad everything i had ordered. by the time my order( 1 hr later )came up they were out of baked beans , so i got the wife corn nuggets. By the time i got to her with the food i had to refills her drink and finally sweet tea was full, There was a lady there who ordered , she told me while we were standing there it had been almost 2 hrs till she got her order.....!!!!
Think with their popularity they may need to look into expansion if possible of the present location. or moving to a Much much larger location. And hire more help elevate the pressure off of the workers as they were definitely trying to keep up with the demand and sheer volume of customers.

It’s great to have had over 7.5 million people read my reviews, and I believe that at least a million BBQ LOVERS will read this one. My wife and I detoured from our route back home just to try out Big Lee’s BBQ in Ocala, FL. I ordered the brisket and burnt ends with a couple of ribs, Mac n cheese, and fried okra. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fries.
This was some of the most tender and moist meat I’ve ever had. Although I’m a strong smoke flavor BBQ lover, I enjoyed the mild to medium smoke, which I assume is to satisfy the masses, because it was standing room only and a steady influx of hungry people.
The fixings were good, and the peace cobbler too, but the BBQ was GREAT! We live almost three hours from this establishment, but it will be worth the drive just to get a chance to eat some more of this delicious BBQ. Go Get You Some!

If someone is serious about dining with friends or solo, the food here is soooo good. The videos are real. We met a lady who drove from SC to Ocala, FL for this meal. We drove 2 hours (Jacksonville, FL). We almost bought everything. Unfortunately, they sold out of the sausage before we could get there. It just means I must go back, and hopefully I will remember to ask for my military discount (lol). I even ordered food to go. We did not finish the family meal, but we did talk about how juicy the meat was and how we looked forward to eating the to go order later in the day or the next day as leftovers.
